Dailey Elementary Charter School is a candidate school* for the Primary Years Program. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. IB World Schools share a common philosophy- a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education- that we believe is important for our students.

Students in the 21st century are faced with the challenge of learning about an interconnected world where knowledge is constantly developing. The International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Program prepares students to be active participants in a lifelong journey of learning. Through a comprehensive and balanced curricula coupled with challenging assessments, the school aims to develop the individual talents of young people and teach them to relate the experience of the classroom to the realities of the world outside. Beyond intellectual rigor and high academic standards, strong emphasis is placed on the ideals of international understanding and responsible citizenship. The goal is that students will become critical and compassionate thinkers, lifelong learners and informed participants in local and world affairs, and conscious of the shared humanity that binds all people together while respecting the variety of cultures and attitudes that makes for the richness of life.

*Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its three academic programs: the Primary Years Program (PYP), the Middle Years Program (MYP) or the Diploma Program (and, in addition, the IB Career-related Cetificate). Cadidate status gives no guaratee that authorization will be granted. For futher information about the IB and its programs visit http://www.ibo.org
